A nice surprise: in cover of the mirabelle tree on the Møllegade lot, a shy apple tree
has revealed its presence, branches heavy with green fruit. With a
bonus fruit tree this brings the total of endangered trees up to 15.
Victims of an unnecessary and completely unacceptable plan, deviced behind a desk, with zero understanding of the trees true value to the neighborhood.
If you pass the trees on Nørrebro
on a daily basis, or maybe live somewhere else in the city, makes no
difference: these trees belong to you too. Like we all mourn the loss of
the recently felled chestnut lane on Ny Carlsberg Vej, on Vesterbro. We must stand united, across the boroughs, in the fight for our trees.
